Scott Creek Ranch received its beginning in 1886 when Grover Cleveland put pen to paper and signed the original homestead deed. That deed, along with the ensuing history of the Ranch, are in our possession as current owners of Scott Creek Ranch.
Over time, much of the original land has been divided and sold until today the ranch consists of the last house to be built in 1904 and the 1940’s outbuildings. All have been retro-fitted with metal roofs and concrete foundations contributing to their excellent ‘bones.’ Bringing the house into the 21st century was challenging but fun. Every effort was made to retain its character... we didn't want to disturb to many ghosts!
Our ranch land is ideally located within a mile of both the Snake River and the Weiser River, allowing us access to bountiful irrigation from the Idaho snow pack as the melt off makes its' way to those rivers, with Scott Creek serving as one of pathway tributaries.
Plentiful irrigation, combined with naturally fertile land, allows us to grow premium pasture and hay, as well as raise excellent lamb and beef.
